オーストラリアのダルグの未開拓地（シドニー）に住み、活動するアーティスト。写真、映像、インスタレーション、パフォーマンスを通して、イメージの自律的な生命を明らかにしようとしている。インタビュー、テープ起こし、再演などの参加型プロセスを用いて、マス・イメージの生産と消費がいかに個人や集団の意識を通して浸透し、体現された行為、文化的模倣、自己のパフォーマンスとして現れるかを考察している。シドニー工科大学でヴィジュアル・コミュニケーションのデザイン学士号（優等学位）を取得後、ナショナル・アート・スクールで美術学士号（優等学位）を取得。 

Johanna Ng is an artist who lives and works on unceded Dharug land (Sydney), Australia. Across photography, moving image, installation, and performance, she seeks to uncover the autonomous life of images. Ng uses participatory processes including interviews, transcription, and re-enactment to consider how mass image production and consumption percolate through individual and collective consciousness to emerge as embodied actions, cultural mimicry, and performances of self. Ng holds a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication (First Class Honours) from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a Bachelor of Fine Art (First Class Honours) at the National Art School where she received the Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement.
