エレオノーラ・ゴメスはブラジル・クリチバ生まれ。2001年にパラナ・カトリック大学（PUC/PR）で社会コミュニケーションを専攻し、2012年にパラナ音楽・美術学校（EMBAP）で絵画を学ぶ。2014年にはEMBAP／ウネスパールにて視覚詩学の大学院課程を修了した。
エレオノーラ・ゴメスのリサーチにおいて、絵画は多くの作品を支える中心的な表現言語である一方、他の表現メディアとの対話も常に意識されている。彼女の作品はキャンバスという枠を越え、空間との不可欠な関係性を持って展開される。また、主題・支持体・メディウムの相互関係を探る実践でもあり、制作のプロセスや「つくる行為」そのものが、彼女の制作活動において重要な要素となっている。とりわけ、パフォーマンス的な要素は、彼女の表現において非常に強い意味を持っている。

Born in Curitiba, Eleonora Gomes has a degree in Social Communication from PUC/PR (2001), Painting from the School of Music and Fine Arts of Paraná -EMBAP (2012) and Post-Graduation in Visual Poetics – EMBAP/Unespar (2014).
In Eleonora Gomes’s research, painting is the language in which most works are supported, without ceasing to be able to dialogue with other languages. The works go beyond the limits of the canvas and have an indispensable relationship with space. Her work is also an interrelationship between subject, support and medium, where process and making are an important agent in every trajetory because that the performance is something very strong in her way.
