京都府生まれ。1986年~1988年東京造形大学美術Ⅰ類絵画科在籍。1988年~1997年NY在住。1991年The School of Visual Arts、Fine Arts学部卒業。1993年New York University大学院芸術学部修士課程終了。帰国後は東京と千葉在住、2021年から神奈川を拠点に活動。日常風景の中に生きる人々と、そこに潜む違和感を絵画作品に描く。1999年 Gallery Side2、2015年Launch Pad Gallery、2017年Gallery Lara Tokyo、2021年横浜市栄区文化センターリリスで個展。都筑アートプロジェクトに2015年から毎回参加。2020年〜2021年BankART AIR4回参加。2021年から黄金町AIR参加。2011年から現在まで横浜と東京で「ダンサーを迎えてのクロッキー会」主催。
Born in Kyoto, Japan. Studied Fine Arts at Tokyo Zokei University from 1986 to 1988. Lived in New York from 1988 to 1997. Graduated from The School of Visual Arts, Fine Arts Department in 1991, and completed the MFA program at New York University in 1993. After returning to Japan, she lived in Tokyo and Chiba, and has been based in Kanagawa since 2021. In her paintings, she depicts people living in everyday scenes and the sense of discomfort that lurks there. She has had solo exhibitions at Gallery Side2 in 1999, Launch Pad Gallery in 2015, Gallery Lara Tokyo in 2017, and Sakae Ward Cultural Center Lilith in Yokohama in 2021. She has participated in the Tsuzuki Art Project every year since 2015, and participated in BankART AIR four times from 2020 to 2021. Since 2011, she has been organizing “Croquis with Dancers” in Yokohama and Tokyo.
