In 2006 to 2007, Sakura Alice Motomura studied as an exchange student at Kyoto Seika University, and completed the Painting Course in Fine Arts Department at the Australian National University in 2008. She relocated to Tokyo in 2010, and completed her Master's degree at Tama Art University in 2014. She explores the concepts such as rupture, change, growth, transience and catharsis, and embodies them in forms of fine art works, ephemeral installations and participatory projects.
