Kimiko Yamamoto graduated from Yokohama College of Art and Design in 2005, and finished a graduate ceramics program at Kyoto City University of Arts, Crafts Department, in 2008. For seven years after that, she worked as an assistant in the communal practical skills laboratory at Yokohama College of Art and Design. She creates three-dimensional objects from clay, and in her recent works, she has been experimenting with secondary use of template-based items in her works.
