Profile

Ryota Shiibashi

Ryota Shiibashi completed Sculpture Course in the Department of Art at Bunsei University of Art in 2004. He joined programs at the Yotsuya Art Studium from 2006 to 2007. How do people live, die and give a birth (or be born)? Facing various issues of the contemporary society, how does he act and live here and now? His artworks (sculpture, two-dimensional work, installation) are the result of his everyday exploration.

Kaoru Iwanaga

Kaoru Iwanaga completed Oil Painting Course, Department of Fine Arts, School of Arts at Tohoku University of Art And Design in 2010. She joined the gigantic shared studio program "Hammer Head Studio" in Yokohama for two years starting in 2012.
In recent years, she has been trying to create painting that changes its forms and expands into the space while viewing the work. She finds forms that are created through the process of drawing. She also chooses a translucent fabric because of its blank space. The translucent blank space becomes an element of the picture that resonates and extends into the walls and space.
