Time, memory and energy - these are all invisible but act like a force of magnets that exist as the bases of objects and places. I visualize these in the form of installation, sculpture and video. It is an attempt to study how works engage in objects and places.
After completing her BA in Architecture from Musashino Art University in 2009, Atsuko Nakamura studied Ikebana of Sogetsu School and obtained a MFA in Sculpture from Slade School of Fine Arts, UK. Her major exhibitions include a solo exhibition in 2015, "The Border of Conscious and Unconscious" at Kanazawa ARTGUMI (Ishikawa), and a group exhibition in 2015 "Intimate Transgressions" at Whitebox (NY). Her works have been presented internationally.
