想像のクリーチャーをつくろう！Create Your Own Imaginary Creature! これから

Boiingzillaは、美塩・持田・ジャックとモード・ラングレによって結成されたアーティストデュオです。SFやファンタジー作品に見られる世界構築のプロセスを取り入れながら、クリーチャーや思索を誘う風景、奇妙な物語が交差する架空の世界を創り出しています。

今回のワークショップでは、Boingzillaの作品世界を入り口に、参加者それぞれが想像上のクリーチャーを生み出します。年齢に合わせて、2つのプログラムを実施します。

① こども向けワークショップ（6〜15歳）

まずは展示会場をめぐりながら、作品やインスタレーションの背景にある物語を紹介します。その後、身近なリサイクル素材や拾い集めた素材などを使って、自分だけのオリジナルクリーチャーをつくります。

② 16歳以上向けワークショップ

作品の背景にある物語や、クリーチャーが生まれるまでのストーリーテリングに、より深く踏み込むワークショップです。

はじめにインスタレーションを鑑賞し、作品の世界観や背景にある物語に触れます。そこから、「どんな姿をしているのか」「どこに住んでいるのか」「どんな物語を持っているのか」など、自分が生み出すクリーチャーについて自由に想像しながら、そのキャラクターと物語を組み立てていきます。

最後に、さまざまな素材を使って、頭の中で思い描いたクリーチャーを実際のかたちにしていきます。

Boiingzilla is an artist duo formed by Mishio Mochida Jacques and Maud Langlais. Drawing on world-building processes found in science fiction and fantasy, they create imaginary worlds where creatures, thought-provoking landscapes, and strange narratives intersect.

In this workshop, participants will enter the world of Boingzilla’s work and create imaginary creatures of their own. Two different programs will be offered for different age groups.

① Workshop for Children (Ages 6–15)

We will begin with a tour of the exhibition, introducing the stories behind the artworks and installations. Participants will then use everyday recycled and found materials to create their own original creatures.

② Workshop for Ages 16 and Over

This workshop takes a deeper look at the stories behind the artworks and the storytelling process through which Boingzilla’s creatures come to life.

We will begin by exploring the installation and discovering the imaginary world and stories behind the work. From there, participants will imagine their own creature: What does it look like? Where does it live? What kind of story does it have? Through these questions, each participant will develop their creature’s character and story.

Finally, using a variety of materials, participants will bring the creature they have imagined into physical form.
