2017年に多摩美術大学大学院にて博士号(芸術)を取得。幼少期の移動体験から「人々の記憶もまた、場所を構成する不可欠な要素である」という仮説を立て、「見えない記憶」を収集し、場所を再解釈するプロジェクト「未発見の小惑星観測所」を展開。「都市とは何か」という根源的な問いを投げかけている。
Profile
Kaneko Miya received a Doctor of Fine Arts degree from Tama Art University in 2017. Based on experiences of relocation during childhood, Kaneko developed the hypothesis that people’s memories are an essential element in the formation of place. Through The Undiscovered Asteroid Observatory, an ongoing project that collects “invisible memories” and reinterprets places through them, Kaneko explores the relationship between memory, place, and urban space, posing the fundamental question: What is a city?
