2005年以降、サイモン・ウェザムは、音や見過ごされがちな、あるいは隠れた音響現象を対象とした国際的な活動を展開してきた。こうした実践と、使われなくなったテクノロジーの再活用への関心を通して、「価値がない」と見なされたものや「無用」とされるものを再評価するというテーマが浮かび上がっている。
Profile
Since 2005 Simon Whetham has developed an international practice of working with sound and unnoticed, obscured sonic phenomena. Through this and a focus on repurposing obsolete technology, a theme has emerged of revaluing what is deemed worthless and useless.
