「動物と人間の関わり方」をテーマに活動。対象となる動物と人間の関わりについて、インタビューを中心に情報収集を行い、その中で生じた矛盾や違和感を起点に作品を制作する。主に映像、装置、テキスト、音声を用いる。近年の主な発表に『神戸六甲ミーツ・アート 2024 beyond』、『ATAMI ART GRANT 2023』、『豊岡演劇祭2023』など。主な受賞に『WACCA ART AWARD 2024』グランプリ、『神戸六甲ミーツ・アート 2024 beyond 公募大賞』グランプリなど。
Profile
Mizuta Masaya is an artist whose practice explores the relationships between animals and humans. Through interviews and field research, he investigates the ways in which people interact with animals, using the contradictions, ambiguities, and moments of discomfort that emerge from these encounters as the starting point for his work. His practice primarily incorporates video, installation, text, and sound.
Recent presentations include Kobe Rokko Meets Art 2024 Beyond, ATAMI ART GRANT 2023, and Toyooka Theater Festival 2023. He has received several major awards, including the Grand Prize at WACCA ART AWARD 2024 and the Grand Prize of the Open Call Award at Kobe Rokko Meets Art 2024 Beyond.
