武蔵野美術大学を卒業後、働きながら独学でコマ撮りアニメを制作する。コンスタントに作品を作っていたが、アニメでは表現できない事が出てきたので他の方法も探る。元々大学ではファッションを専攻していたので、近年は布を使った作品を制作したり、ワークショップにも力を入れている。
Profile
Shinko Mimi graduated from Musashino Art University and taught herself stop-motion animation while working. Through years of creating animated works, she became increasingly interested in ideas and expressions that could not be fully realized within the medium of animation alone. Drawing on her background in fashion, she has recently expanded her practice to include textile-based works and participatory workshops.
