2002年より日本を拠点に活動するアーティスト・デザイナー。RISD（ロードアイランド・スクール・オブ・デザイン）およびフランスのストラテ・スクール・オブ・デザインで美術とインダストリアルデザインを学んだ。人間と自然、テクノロジーの関係をテーマに、絵画、版画、写真、インスタレーションなど幅広い表現を展開している。国内外で作品を発表するほか、Puma、Reebok、Soundbrennerなどのデザインにも携わり、現在は多摩美術大学客員教授を務めている。
Profile
Ray Horacek is an artist and designer based in Japan since 2002. Educated in Fine Art and Industrial Design at RISD and Strate School of Design, his work explores the relationship between humans, nature, technology, and the algorithms that shape them. Working across drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, and installation, he has exhibited internationally and designed for brands including Puma, Reebok, and Soundbrenner. He is currently a Guest Professor at Tama Art University.
