移動するとき、何が変わるのか？

本オープンスタジオでは、もの、移動、そして場所を越えることで変化する意味について、アーティストが継続して行っている探究を紹介します。日本の余剰文化と、フィリピンで拾い集めた素材を用いて制作してきた経験をもとに、ものが文化や経済、所有のあり方を横断して移動するとき、どのように姿や意味を変えていくのかを考察します。
2026年から2027年にかけて複数の国を移動しながら滞在制作を行うアーティストとして、彼女はまた、移動やディスプレイスメント（移動・離散）が、仮の場所やそこでの出会いを通して、制作、アイデンティティ、そしてものの見方をどのように（再）形成していくのかについても考えています。
現在の制作の中心にあるのは、さまざまな余剰品市場から集めた日本の掛け軸です。これらの掛け軸はコラージュによって新たな作品へと変容しています。そこに記されていた本来の文章は、もはや元のかたちに復元することはできません。しかし、それらはかつての持ち主や場所、時間の痕跡を今もなお携えています。
この作品は、素材や移動、かたちそのものが、言語を超えた「知る」ための方法となり得るのかを問いかけます。これらの素材を再び日本へと持ち込むことで、彼女は問いを投げかけます。
私たちが運ぶものは、移動することでどのように変わるのだろうか？

What is transformed when we move?

The open studio presents the artist’s ongoing inquiry of objects, movement, and shifting meanings across places. Drawing from Japan’s surplus culture and her experience of working with found materials in the Philippines, she examines how objects are transformed as they move across culture, economies, and ownership.

As a residency recipient travelling across countries from 2026–2027, the artist also reflects on displacement, and how temporary places and encounters can (re)shape artistic practice, identity, and ideas.

At the center of her current work are Japanese scrolls (kakejiku) collected from various surplus markets and transformed through collage. While their original texts can no longer be reconstructed, they continue to carry traces of their previous lives. The work asks whether material, movement, and form can offer ways of knowing beyond language. Bringing these materials back to Japan, she asks: How does movement transform what we carry?
