黄金町AIRでの滞在中、アーティストは「旅」というテーマを通して、人と人、文化と空間、自己と他者の関係性を探求しています。旅は単なる物理的な移動ではなく、心や思考の流れでもあります。アーティストは様々な素材を使い、時間と記憶の交差点にある個人の体験を切り取った作品を制作し、観客をその瞬間へと誘います。これらの作品は、旅の中で出会った新しい感覚や発見を通して、観客に自己の再発見を促すものとなっています。
「旅」という展覧会は、観客に人間の存在や変化、移動の過程における心の変化について深く考える機会を提供します。それは単なる移動ではなく、心の中で行われる内面的な旅行の物語です。
During her residency at Koganecho AIR, the artist explores the theme of “Journey,” examining the relationships between individuals, cultures, spaces, and the self. A journey is not only a physical movement but also the flow of the heart and mind. Using various materials, the artist captures personal experiences at the intersection of time and memory, drawing viewers into those fleeting moments. These works invite viewers to rediscover themselves through the new sensations and discoveries encountered during the journey.
The exhibition “Journey” provides an opportunity for reflection on human existence, change, and the emotional transformations that occur during the process of moving. It is not just about movement but the inner journey that takes place within the heart.

岡田 光生 Mitsuo Okada
1994年多摩美術大学絵画科を卒業し、1995年アメリカに留学、1997年 Maryland Institute College of Art で修士課程を修了。「僕は計画通りに作るのは面白くなくて、偶然に導かれながら作るのが面白いと思っています。」
After received his degree from faculty of Painting at Tama Art University in 1994, Mitsuo Okada had been to USA since 1995 and earned a Master of Fine Arts at Maryland Institute College of Art.
