Jun Matsuyama

Born in Shiogama, Japan in 1985, and graduated from Tohoku University of Art and Design in 2009. Jun Matsuyama worked as the coordinator of an artist-in-residence program in the post-tsunami disaster area of Rikuzentakata City from 2013 to 2020, and was involved in research projects in Tohoku, the Philippines, and other places as an artist/coordinator. In recent years, his work has focused on natural disasters, social issues, and migration. His practice involves ways to share the stories of local people with others.
