私たちは「詩情（あるいは詩意）」と口にする時、往々にして遠方の風景や壮大なナラティブ、あるいは瞬く間に消え去るロマンチックな瞬間を思い浮かべる。しかし、アーティスト・曾暉（ツェン・フイ）の世界において、詩情とは決して高嶺の花のような贅沢品ではない。それは、日々の絶え間ない創作のなかに、そして平凡な日常に対する凝視と描写のなかに息づいている。本展『詩的な日常 I 』（英題：The Poetic Everyday I）は、まさにアーティストが「生活そのもの」へと捧げた一編の叙情詩である。

本展のテーマである「詩的な日常」は、曾暉の現在における創作のあり方と精神の核心を、過不足なく体現している。彼女はもはや、外の世界に詩情を追い求めるのではない。日常そのものに詩情を注ぎ込んでいるのだ。彼女にとって、創作とはひとつの生き方であり、平凡さの中に非凡さを見出す能力そのものである。作品は具体的な物語を語るのではなく、ひとつの「場（フィールド）」を提供し、観る者を静寂のなかで自らの内面と向き合う旅へと誘う。私たちがこれらの作品を凝視する時、それは日常の些事に包まれながらも、なお詩情を渇望してやまない「自分自身」を見つめ直す時間でもあるのだ。

When we speak of “poetry,” our minds often drift to distant landscapes, grand narratives, or fleeting moments of romance. Yet, in the world of artist Zeng Hui, poetry is by no means an elevated luxury. Instead, it is tucked away within her relentless, day-to-day brushwork, and nestled inside her profound gaze and continuous transcription of the mundane. This exhibition, The Poetic Everyday I, stands precisely as a lyric poem dedicated by the artist to life itself.

The exhibition’s title, “The Poetic Everyday,” aptly encapsulates the current state of Zeng Hui’s creative practice and her spiritual core. Rather than chasing poetry outward, she infuses poetry directly into the ordinary. For her, creation is a way of living—an inherent ability to discover the extraordinary within the commonplace. Her works do not narrate specific stories; rather, they offer a space, inviting viewers into silence to encounter their own inner selves. As we gaze upon these pieces, we find ourselves contemplating our own reflection: wrapped in the trivialities of daily life, yet still yearning for poetry.
