本展『潜界隈（せんかいわい）』は、台湾のアート・コレクティヴ「2041」によって企画されたプロジェクトであり、異なる界隈をつなぎ、そこに刹那のコミュニティを立ち上げ、都市の生活や行動を基にしながら展開していく芸術的な試みであります。展覧やパフォーマンス、アクション、ワークショップなど多様な形式を通じ、「未来へ向かうコミュニティ」の可能性を探っていきます。
本企画の核にあるのは、日本語の「界隈」という概念です。もともとは地理的な区域や社会・文化的な範囲を示す言葉でしたが、時代とともにより抽象的な意味へと広がり、流動し交差する文化的ネットワークを指すようになりました。界隈は物理的な境界を超え、理念・感情・行為を共有する集合体へと拡張され、潜在的・一時的・即興的で、柔軟かつ変容し続ける場でもあります。
本プロジェクトでは、この界隈を「無形で流動する空間」として捉え、参加型の実践や関係性を重視したアプローチや都市観察に基づく行動を通して、一時的な集いを生み出します。経験の共有や感情的なつながり、共創のプロセスによって、日常にある現実を相互探求・対話・再構築の場へと変換しようとするものです。また、現代社会に広がるパラソーシャル（片方向的な関係性）の文化の中で、「潜界隈」から生まれる新たな反脆弱性の可能性を開くことを目指しています。
Latent Kaiwai is an art project curated by the Taiwanese collective 2041, focusing on the connection between heterogeneous social spheres, the formation of ephemeral communities, and urban life as a site of action. Through a series of exhibitions, performances, workshops, and participatory events, the project explores the imagination of “communities oriented toward the future.”
The concept draws from the Japanese term “kaiwai”, which originally referred to a concrete geographic area—an indicator of social or cultural spheres. Over time, its meaning has expanded into a more abstract notion, describing fluid and interwoven cultural networks that extend beyond physical boundaries into shared ideas, emotions, and behaviors. A kaiwai may be latent, temporary, or spontaneous, marked by flexibility and constant transformation.
In this project, kaiwai is approached as an intangible, mobile space. Through participatory methods, relational practices, and urban observation, the works initiate temporary gatherings shaped by shared experiences, emotional connections, and collaborative making. These encounters aim to transform everyday reality into a dialogic field where exploration, communication, and reimagining become possible. Within today’s para-social culture of one-directional relationships, Latent Kaiwai seeks to open possibilities for cultivating forms of “antifragility” born from these submerged and emergent social realms.

程仁珮（1983年生まれ、高雄出身）
参加型アートを主な手法とするアーティスト。食を通して歴史、記憶、文化的アイデンティティを探求し、地域の状況や習慣を社会的かつ感情的な媒介として観察・表現する作品を制作している。
フィンランド、日本、フランス、ベトナム、フィリピンなどでのアート・レジデンスに参加し、各国の住民へのインタビューや地域の物語を収集。集めた食材や個人の所持品を用いて「食の彫刻」を制作し、写真インスタレーションとして発表している。
CHENG Jen Pei (born 1983, Kaohsiung) is an artist whose practice takes the form of participatory art, exploring how food embodies history, memory, and cultural identity. Her works investigate local conditions and customs through the lens of food as a social and emotional medium.
Cheng has participated in art residency programs in Finland, Japan, France, Vietnam, and the Philippines for food research and artworks. She is interested in food and the way it is expressed in history and culture, as well as exploring the local conditions and customs of their own cultural differences. Recently, she conducted interviews in various countries to discover the memories and stories of local residents. She assembled food and personal objects into food sculptures and presented them in photographic installations.

2041 は 高雄で創立された アート・コレクティヴで、創作、キュレーション、批評、社会実践など多様な領域で活動するメンバーによって構成されています。日常の経験や社会構造、都市環境に対し、観察・対話・参加型のアクションを通して応答する芸術実践を探求しています。
固定的なヒエラルキーを持たず、協働的かつ越領域的な方法を重視し、制度化されたアートシステムの外側で柔軟な文化的ネットワークを構築することを目指しています。また「K.K. Engaged Art」として、コミュニティを巻き込む集いや公共プロジェクトも行い、芸術を共有と実験の場として位置づけています。

2041 is an art collective founded in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, formed by artists and cultural practitioners working across creation, curation, criticism, and social engagement. The collective focuses on how artistic practice can respond to everyday experience, social structures, and urban environments through observation, dialogue, and participatory actions.
Working collaboratively and without fixed hierarchy, 2041 explores cross-disciplinary methods and community-based approaches to build flexible cultural networks outside institutional systems. The group also organizes gatherings and public projects under “K.K. Engaged Art,” treating art as a shared and experimental space.
