No-Signalでは、映像とパフォーマンスアートに関するイブニングトークを開催します。本プレゼンテーションでは、映像とパフォーマンスというメディアがどのように交差し関係してきたのかを探りながら、フルクサス運動やパフォーマンスアートを代表する作家たちを紹介します。

主なテーマとして、記録された時間がパフォーマンス作品の真正性やアウラにどのような影響を与えるのかを、歴史的文脈の中で考察します。本トークでは、アーティストたちが儚さ、ドキュメンテーション、媒介性とどのように向き合ってきたのかをたどります。ライブで一時的な身振りが固定化されたメディアへと変換されるとき、何が保存され、何が失われるのでしょうか。また、ドキュメンテーションはパフォーマンスの寿命やアクセス可能性を拡張するのか、それとも作品や鑑賞のまなざしそのものを別のものへと変えてしまうのかについても考えます。

また、No-SignalはアーティストのJoão Angeliniを招き、彼がメンバーとして参加しているブラジルのパフォーマンス・コレクティブ「Grupo EmpreZa」についての紹介も行います。

No-Signal is pleased to host an evening talk on video and performance art. The presentation will explore how video and performance intertwine as mediums, touching on the Fluxus movement and highlighting key figures in performance art.

Key topics will include how recorded time affects the authenticity and aura of performative art within its historical context. This discussion aims to trace how artists have engaged with ephemerality, documentation, and mediation. When a live, ephemeral gesture is translated into a fixed medium, what is preserved, and what is inevitably lost? It considers whether documentation extends the life and accessibility of performance or fundamentally transforms the work, as well as the gaze, into something else entirely.

No-Signal has also invited artist João Angelini to present the Brazilian performance collective Grupo EmpreZa, of which he is a member.
