マクシム・クリフツォフに捧ぐ — ウクライナの兵士、詩人、そして写真家。
戦争が彼の人生に踏み込んだとき、彼はそれをただ耐えるのではなく、自らの創造的な意志を守りながら歩む道を選びました。 2024年1月7日、マクシムは最前線で命を落としました。享年33歳でした。
マクシムは思春期から詩を書き続けてきました。彼の詩はウクライナ国内の複数の詩集に収録され、音楽にもなっています。
2023年12月には、彼の初の詩集『Poems from the Breach（裂け目からの詩）』が出版されました。自身が撮影した写真も収録されています。 この詩集は、ウクライナPENが選ぶ2023年の優れたウクライナ書籍の一冊に選ばれました。
「ノット / ソルジャー」は、マクシムの写真、詩、そして記録映像によって彼の世界と戦争を通り抜けた道のりを辿る、サイトスペシフィックな展示です。 これは単なる追悼ではなく、私たち自身が感じ、思索するための空間です。
このプロジェクトは、「兵士」と「詩人」とを分けようとはしません。むしろ、戦火の中で詩を生み出し続けたマクシムの人生において、それらのアイデンティティがどのように交差していたのかを描いています。彼の写真を見て、彼の声に耳を傾けるとき、私たちはもはや彼を過去形で語ることができません。彼の詩的な言葉と存在は、今もなお生き続けているのです。
「ノット / ソルジャー」は、私たち一人ひとりでもあります。今日の相互に繋がった世界において、どの戦争も決して遠いものではありません。このプロジェクトは、ひとりの人間の運命において、戦争と人生がいかに重なり合うのかを、私たちが共に考えることを誘います。
黄金町アートレジデンスのアーティストたちは、マクシムを共に創造する仲間として迎え入れ、その芸術的遺産とともに、それぞれの視点と想いを紡ぎます。
この展示は、ただの記憶ではなく、「見る」「聞く」「感じる」ためのものです。 彼の声は今も響き続け、彼の芸術は今も私たちに語りかけてくれます。

Dedicated to Maksym Kryvtsov — a Ukrainian soldier, poet, and photographer. When war entered his life, he chose to go through it while preserving his creative voice. On January 7, 2024, he was killed on the front line at the age of 33.
Maksym wrote poems since adolescence.His poems were published in multiple poetry collections in Ukraine and set to music. In December 2023, his first poetry collection “Poems from the Breach” was published, which includes photos of his authorship and audio of poetry reading. “Poems from the Breach” was recognized as one of the best Ukrainian books of 2023 according to the Ukrainian PEN (Ukrainian writers’ association and PEN International branch).
“not / A SOLDIER“ is a site-specific exhibition, a journey through five locations where Maksym’s photographs, poetry, and archival video materials reveal his world and his path through war. This is not just a memorial—it is a space for reflection and experience.
This project does not attempt to separate the soldier from the poet. On the contrary, it shows how these identities intertwined in Maksym’s life, as he lived through war by transforming it into art. As we look at his images and listen to his voice, we stop speaking about him in the past tense. His poetic language and presence remain alive.
“not / A SOLDIER” is each of us. In today’s interconnected world, no war is truly distant. This project invites us to reflect on how war and life intertwine in a person’s fate within the time we all share.
The Koganecho artist-in-residence welcomes Maksym into their community as a fellow artist-in-residence, embracing his creative legacy and sharing their ideas and perspectives.
This exhibition is not only about memory but about seeing, hearing, and feeling. His voice continues to resonate, and his art still speaks to us.
