韓国・清州の653芸術商会ディレクターであるイ・ジョンヒョンの紹介により、アーティスト クォン・ヨジンがギャラリー湧水にて展覧会を開催することとなりました。
「私の世界は0と1の間の無数の数字によって定義される。」
韓国を拠点に、漆や様々な素材を通して独自の芸術世界を表現する漆工芸作家のクォン・ヨジン。今回の展覧会「Between 0 and 1」では、彼女が日本を旅した際に感じた、シンプルでありながら複雑な感情を作品に表現している。平面、立体、工芸など様々な形式を横断しながら、好奇心に火をつけ、様々な世界を夢見る客観的な自己の視点から出発した作品を発表している。
本展では、多様なドローイングや技法を提示することで、日本や韓国の漆工芸の技法を身近に感じてもらうことを目指している。同じ形、同じテクスチャーの点や線で作られたブローチを展示することで、彼女が感じた感動を観客と共有できることを願っている。
Artist Kwon Yeojin will hold an exhibition at Gallery YUSUI through the introduction of Lee Jonghyun, director of the 653 Art Firm in Cheongju, Korea.
‘My world is defined by the countless numbers between 0 and 1.’
Artist Kwon Yeo-Jin is a lacquer crafts artist based in Korea, expressing her unique artistic world through lacquer and various materials. In the exhibition “Between 0 and 1,” she captures the simple yet complex emotions she felt during her travels in Japan through her works. The artist’s creations span across two-dimensional, three-dimensional, and craft forms, igniting curiosity and starting from the perspective of an objective self that dreams of various worlds.
In this exhibition, she aims to present various drawings and techniques, allowing viewers to encounter familiar images of Japanese and Korean lacquer craft techniques. By showcasing brooches made with the same shapes and textures of dots and lines, she hopes to share the emotional experiences she felt with the audience.

プロフィール Profile
クォン・ヨジン
韓国を拠点に活動するアーティストで、主に漆を使って工芸に根ざしたドローイングを制作している。韓国国立文化財大学で美術修士号を取得。現在、漆のワークショップ 「メイセブン 」を主宰。主なテーマは、波のように変化する人間の感情。人間の感情や自然からインスピレーションを得て、漆を用いた作品で表現する。漆の持つ接着性を最大限に生かすため、様々な素材と漆を組み合わせ、独自の芸術世界を作り出している。
Kwon Yeojin
An artist based in Korea who primarily works with lacquer to create drawings, rooted in craft. She obtained her Master of Fine Arts degree from the Korea National University of Cultural Heritage. Currently, she runs a lacquer workshop called “May Seven.” Her main theme revolves around the changing nature of human emotions, akin to waves. She expresses these themes in her work by drawing inspiration from human emotions and nature through the use of lacquer. To maximize the adhesive properties of lacquer, she combines various materials with lacquer, creating a unique artistic world expressed in her works.
