チョン・ボギョン｜Jun Bokyung

1979年韓国ソウル市に生まれ、現在も同市を拠点に活動している。2002年、梨花女子大学、版画絵画専攻を卒業し、2010年、プラット・インスティテュートで芸術学修士号を修得。場所固有の歴史の調査と集団で共有される記憶をテーマに、ドローイング、インスタレーション、パフォーマンス作品を制作している。日常の中にある歴史、物語、美学の境界線を越えるべく、地域の人々を無知な分子増幅器として招待している。

Jun Bokyung was born and based in Seoul, South Korea in 1979. Jun received her B.A. in Printing and Painting from Ewha Womans University in 2002 and an MFA in Fine Art at Pratt institute in 2010. She made several artworks of drawings, installations, performance and writing based on two different kinds of stories: site-specific history research and collective memory. She invites local people as her ignorant masers to cross the border of (hi)story and aesthetics in the ordinary life.
