“Koganecho Bazaar + Kamiooka Bazaar 2026: Where Our Paths Cross—A City Connected by Art” is an art festival set in the Koganecho and Kamiooka areas that explores the relationship between art and community in collaboration with artists from diverse backgrounds.

Since its inception in 2008, the Koganecho Bazaar has been exploring the potential of “community development through art” under the themes of “the relationship between art and the community” and “exchange with Asia.” Starting in 2025, the event has expanded its scope to include the Keikyu Department Store and Wing Kamiooka, fostering new encounters and exchanges within different urban spaces.

This year’s theme, “Where We Intersect: A City Connected by Art,” focuses on the relationship between art and the community, highlighting the new connections that emerge when people connect with one another, people connect with the city, and cities connect with one another. As a festival linking Koganecho’s “Community Development Through Art”—which will soon mark its 20th anniversary—with Keikyu Department Store and Wing Kamiooka, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, we will explore new connections and possibilities.
