Performance by Kazusa《Wankindo-Hakotemae》

In this studio in Koganecho, which has been Kazusa’s base of activity since 2019 and will be vacated in June 2024, the artist will perform and complete “Wankindo-Hakotemae”. “Wankindo” is a performance piece that the artist has been performing since 2010 and follows a series of creative etiquettes in which dishes are carried to an empty place, arranged, used to make sounds, put away, and then left. “Hakotemae” refers to the box used to carry the dishes, and the box can be seen as a cupboard or furniture. These series of movements evoke the memories of the past five years living in this space and anticipate the artist’s future life.
