In the Springtime, The Ooka River side where the studio is located will be one of the most spectacular cherry blossoms viewing spot in Yokohama. My signature project, Voyaging is mainly blue abstract works.
I wanted to express this powerful spring bursting energy through my point of view and challenged different style in the first time.

Artist’s Profile
Bico Kondo
Bico Kondo is a self-taught artist from Yokohama, Japan. She is created own painting style which is layered by using acrylic gesso to make unique surface, especially texture and color tone are featured in her works. She mainly works with blue paintings project called “Voyaging” which is meant to guide people to travel into the unexplored territory of their hearts.
Her artworks are always deeply linked with her life, experience, emotion. She is always looking for something new and pursuing her art to be able to touch people’s heart. Since 2014, She has been based in New York and currently lives and works in Yokohama, Japan.
