Mitsuo Okada

Born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1971. Graduated from the Department of Oil Painting at Tama Art University in 1994. Received an MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art (USA) in 1997. Has been participating in the Koganecho AIR program since 2014. When painting, he works without intention, plan, or purpose, driven by a desire to encounter something beyond his own value judgments, and exploring the unknown.
