Ma Yan Hong

Born in Baoji, China in 1977. Ma Yan Hong graduated from the oil painting department of Central Academy of Fine Arts in China in 2002. She is a member of the pioneering art group N12. Her early work is known for drawing life-size portraits of half-naked girls. Over the next ten years, she began to paint portraits of the body. After moving to Yokohama, Japan in 2020, she continued to paint portraits of women. Now, she shook off the realistic style of painting. Learning from the combination of manga composition and collage to explore a new painting language.
