[Malaysia] Chris Chong Chan Fui

Chris Chong Chan Fui is an artist with works ranging from digital/analog moving images to fabricated and organic objects. His work layers the social and natural sciences with transnational circuits of globalization and manufactured cultures and landscapes. Chong has exhibited at such venues as the Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Garden, Tokyo Met Museum of Photography, Palais de Tokyo, EYE Film Institute Netherlands, and the Gwangju Biennale, while premiering films at the Cannes Film Festival’s Directors’ Fortnight, TIFF, and the Viennale. He is a Smithsonian Institution fellow, a Ford Foundation fellow, and a Rockefeller Foundation’s Bellagio Arts Fellow. Chong is currently Assistant Professor (film) at the School for the Contemporary Arts in Simon Fraser University.
