The AIR Manager Internship is a short-term program providing the participants with an opportunity to stay in the Koganecho area and learn AIR operation skills through practice. The 2022 internship was scheduled for the same period when artists were invited to the Return of Exchange exhibition, with the aim of promoting activities unique to Koganecho AIR, including support for artists’ productions and forging relationships with the local community. Applicants for the 2022 internship were sought out as usual and Roberto Daniel C. Devela from the Philippines was selected. During his stay, Devela visited the international Aichi Triennale 2022 art festival as well as the port area of Nagoya to study the AIR organization and exchange opinions with experts there.

Study Trip

Day 1

Tour the Tokoname venue of the Aichi Triennale 2022 and view the exhibits.

Day 2

View the exhibits of the Aichi Triennale 2022 at the Aichi Arts Center.

Day 3

Visit Nagoya Castle; visit Minatomachi Art Table, Nagoya [MAT, Nagoya], view exhibits, listen to specialists (Yuri Yoshida, Shinya Aota), and tour associated facilities.
