Koganecho International AIR Program 2022 invited artists from abroad to stay in the Koganecho area for a fixed period of time to do research and create new artwork, interact with the other participating artists and join the activities of various communities, and present the results of their experiences to the general public.
In 2022, we worked with the A4 Art Museum (China), Space Ppong (South Korea), Zit-Dim Art Space and the Taipei Art Creator Trade Union (Taiwan), the Chiang Mai Art Conversation (Thailand), and Load na Dito (Philippines). The KAMC also recommended artists to two of those cooperating organizations in East Asia, namely the A4 Art Museum (China) and Space Ppong (South Korea), in efforts to realize a two-way exchange of artists.
Artists from four of the cities except China started their residency in Koganecho during the summer and went about doing their research and creating their artwork. The results were presented in the Koganecho International AIR Program 2022 Exhibition Return of Exchange, organized in lieu of the annual autumn exhibition Koganecho Bazaar.

The two artists who traveled from Koganecho to cities in East Asia also returned with the influences they draw from the history and present of their respective destinations.

Additionally, an online talk event inviting specialists and an AIR Manager Internship residency training in Koganecho area were organized as part of the program.
