Shinko Mimi is an artist who creates “wearable kanji” using organza, a thin, colorful fabric.

While working on this exhibition, a lot of colorful fabric scraps were left over. “It would be such a waste to throw them away!”—So, we’re going to use those scraps to make ghost costumes together.

Freely sew your favorite scraps onto white fabric, and combine them with the ribbons and small accessories used in the artwork to transform into your very own ghost! Let’s create colorful, cute, slightly see-through ghosts that are full of personality.

And once they’re finished, everyone will put on their costumes and head outside. Together with a marching band, we’ll parade through the streets of Koganecho!

Make it, wear it, and head out into the streets. The fabric scraps from the exhibition will now be reborn as everyone’s very own ghosts.
