Boiingzilla is an artist duo formed by Mishio Mochida Jacques and Maud Langlais. Drawing on world-building processes found in science fiction and fantasy, they create imaginary worlds where creatures, thought-provoking landscapes, and strange narratives intersect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this workshop, participants will enter the world of Boingzilla\u2019s work and create imaginary creatures of their own. Two different programs will be offered for different age groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will begin with a tour of the exhibition, introducing the stories behind the artworks and installations. Participants will then use everyday recycled and found materials to create their own original creatures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2461 Workshop for Ages 16 and Over<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This workshop takes a deeper look at the stories behind the artworks and the storytelling process through which Boingzilla\u2019s creatures come to life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will begin by exploring the installation and discovering the imaginary world and stories behind the work. From there, participants will imagine their own creature: What does it look like? Where does it live? What kind of story does it have? Through these questions, each participant will develop their creature\u2019s character and story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, using a variety of materials, participants will bring the creature they have imagined into physical form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
