[自主企画] 正直に言うと、とても疲れています
THE ROOM の親密な空間で展開される独立プロジェクトは、フランス系イラン人アーティスト、アリアンヌ·メルシエ＝ボーの作品を「黄金町バザール」の枠組みの中でひとつのサイクル ― Honesty, I’m so tired ― として結び合わせます。
京急百貨店上大岡店では、5つの刺繍された日記のフレーズが天井から垂れ下がり、2メートルのパッチワークとなって感情の流れを観客へと降り注ぎます。
黄金町のギャラリー・エクセプショナル（YPAM 2F）では、7つの刺繍された言葉が結晶化し、絵画を思わせる簡潔なイメージとして立ち現れます。
そしてTHE ROOMの親密な空間では、ひとつのフレーズ Honestly, I’m so tired が響き渡ります。それは最後の一滴のようでありながら、同時に新たな果てしない内なるサイクルの始まりでもあります。
The independent project in the intimate setting of THE ROOM brings together the works of French-Iranian artist Ariane Mercier-Beau, presented within the framework of the Koganecho Bazaar, into a unified cycle – Honesty I’m so tired.
At Keikyu Department Store Kamiooka, five embroidered diary entries descend from the ceiling, forming a two-meter patchwork of fabric – a flow of emotions pouring down onto the viewer.
At Gallery Exceptional (YPAM 2F) in Koganecho, seven embroidered statements crystallize into concise images, resembling paintings.
In the intimate space of THE ROOM, a single phrase, Honestly, I’m so tired, resonates like the final drop and at the same time, the beginning of a new endless inner cycle.
アーティスト
アリアネ・メルシエ・ボー（Ariane Mercier-Beau）
1995年生まれのフランス系イラン人アーティスト。2021年にフランス・グルノーブルの美術・デザイン学校を卒業。彼女の作品はテキスタイルを中心とした表現で構成されており、親密さやメンタルヘルスの象徴性を軸としたテーマが一貫して作品に現れている。現在は日本・横浜のAIR黄金町でアーティスト・イン・レジデンスに参加中。
Ariane Mercier-Beau, born in 1995, is a French-Iranian artist who obtained her degree from the School of Art and Design in Grenoble (France) in 2021. Her artistic focus is primarily on textiles, which she uses as her main medium. Her creative expression revolves around the symbolism of intimacy and mental health, recurring themes in all her visual artwork. She is currently pursuing an artist residency at AIR Koganecho in Yokohama, Japan.

ウクライナ生まれのイスラエル出身アーティスト／キュレーターで、日本を拠点に活動。作品は ニューヨーク・タイムズ、BBC、Newsweek に掲載され、カンボジアから日本までのプロジェクトに携わる。Home.Smoke.Home、Garden of people、Wake up to a new space、not / a soldier などの展覧会を企画し、人と場所の関係、文化的アイデンティティ、コミュニティを探求している。
Elena Aframova
Ukrainian-born Israeli artist and curator based in Japan. Her photography has appeared in The New York Times, BBC, and Newsweek, with projects from Cambodia to Japan. She curates exhibitions such as Home.Smoke.Home, Garden of people, Wake up to a new space, and not / a soldier. Her work explores the relationship between people and place, cultural identity, and community.
