橋村 至星

1986年～88年東京造形大学美術一類絵画科に在籍後、1988年アメリカ・NYに留学。1991年The School of Visual ArtsのFine Arts学部卒、1993年New York University大学院Studio Art科修了。日常的に誰しもが行くスーパーやコンビニ等の店舗と、その中を行きかう人々の姿のメージの背後に、政治、経済、災害等の私たちの生活と切り離せない問題を滲ませる意図を込めた絵画作品を制作している。

After studying painting at Tokyo Zokei University from 1986 to 1988, I moved to New York, U.S.A. in 1988, and graduated from The School of Visual Arts in Fine Arts in 1991 and New York University’s Graduate School of Studio Art in 1993. Behind the image of people passing through supermarkets, convenience stores, and other stores that we all visit daily, I create paintings with the intention of blurring the lines between politics, economics, disasters, and other issues that are inseparable from our daily lives.
