style=\"flex-basis:60%\">\n<p>The Urban Design Laboratory at Yokohama City University has been involved in community development in Koganecho since 2007 after being approached by community leaders in the Koganecho area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has conducted a variety of activities while working side-by-side with local community members, including the creation of a booklet recounting the history of the town, workshops with children on safe and secure community development, operation of a community caf\u00e9, planning and management of events that provide opportunities for residents to interact, and experiments in the use of public space in the town.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:40%\"><div
