He entered the Army Nakano School in 1937 and was detained in Siberia (Harbin, Samarkand) in 1945. During his detention, he was copying collection artworks in Repin Museum and he was a teacher in Moscow University. He returned to Yokosuka, Japan in 1952, got married in 1955, and subsequently lived in Hatsunecho, Naka Ward, Yokohama. He serialized illustrations of Yokohama folk tales in \u201cPTA Yokohama\u201d for 15 years starting in 1971. Published \u201c<em>Yokohama Folktales<\/em>\u201d in 1987 (Yokohama City PTA Liaison Council).
