天草ミオ
Mio Amakusa

1990年、埼玉県生まれ。武蔵野美術大学大学院造形研究科美術専攻修了。少女のイメージやぬいぐるみなどを使って、ドローイングやオブジェ、パフォーマティブ作品を作る。近年は透明な紙に裏から描く、レイヤーが逆転したペインティングを中心に制作している。「BankARTAir2017」参加。「彼女を捕まえるための方法」(2016、新宿眼科画廊)。「SENTIMENTALGAG」(2014、新宿眼科画廊)。

Born in Saitama in 1990, and graduated from the Musashino Art University, Graduate School of Art and Design. Mio Amakusa creates drawings, objects and performative works using images of young women and stuffed toys. Recently she has taken to drawing on the back of transparent paper, creating paintings with reversed layers. She participated in the BankART artist in residence programme 2017.
