Narissara Pianwimungsa

現在バンコクを拠点に活動。2004年にシラパコーン大学美術分野絵画コースにて修士号を取得して以来、画家として活躍。 2016年には、同大学より第15回Silpa Bhirasri Creativity Grantsを授与され、絵画から刺繍へとスタイルを変え、作家のかねてよりの関心事であった、２つの芸術形体間の類似点やこの新しい方向性の有用性をテーマとした展覧会にてアートシーンに復帰。その態度が作品のメディウムよりも、重要であると信じている。

Currently based in Bangkok. Narissara Pianwimungsa worked as a painter after receiving her M.F.A from Silpakorn University in 2004. In 2016, she was granted the 15th Silpa Bhirasri Creativity Grants by Silpakorn University, and returned to the art scene with an exhibition which explored her transition from painting to embroidery, and the similarities of the two forms which she combines to create something new. She believes that the attitude is more important than the medium she uses.
